Your Basketball video (highlights/skills)

What a strong basketball reel contains, length, and what a coach wants to see.

A coach opens hundreds of videos: you have 15-30 seconds to convince them. Aim for a 3-5 minute highlight reel with this structure:

  • Title card: name, position, height, grad year, club/national team and contact.
  • Lead with your 2-3 best plays in the first 15-30s.
  • Clear spotlight/arrow on yourself in every clip (don't make them hunt for you).
  • Two-way value: not just baskets — defense, rebounding, passing, rotations.
  • Full-possession clips (not only made shots) so they see your decision-making and off-ball movement.
  • Show shooting mechanics, finishing with both hands, and play vs. strong competition.

Pair the reel with a full-game film link and a profile of verified stats/measurements. For a European it's key to include footage vs. recognizable opponents (youth national teams, EuroLeague academies, ANGT) and to tag the event and opponent level — the coach needs context to calibrate your level. Host everything on a stable link (YouTube/Vimeo) and embed it in your showcase. An honest, well-tagged reel opens more doors than a flashy one with no context.
