Divisions & scholarships: D1/D2/D3/NAIA/JUCO

Golf gives PARTIAL scholarships (equivalency). D2/NAIA/JUCO are realistic, underrated paths for Europeans.

Guidance only — not legal advice nor an eligibility guarantee. Binding decisions rest with the NCAA Eligibility Center and US authorities.

Golf is an equivalency sport: partial scholarships are the norm, full rides rare. D1: per-sport caps removed (House settlement), roster max 9 at opted-in schools (some conferences cap at 8). D2: up to 8 partial. D3: no athletic aid (academic/need only). NAIA: up to 5 partial. JUCO: up to 8 (a bridge to improve and transfer). For most Spanish juniors, D2/NAIA/JUCO are realistic and underrated. Always weigh athletics + academics + net cost. ⚠️ House-settlement roster/aid limits are in transition; each school opts in.
