Coaches don't recruit handicaps — they recruit a competitive scoring average in multi-round events (36-54 holes) on long courses (≥6,600 yds). Put on your CV: 12-month scoring average, WAGR and RFEG ranking, tournament results (finish, course, par, rounds, field strength), WHS handicap (secondary), physical/swing and academic data. Men's scoring benchmarks (approx): D1 top ≤72, D1 lower ≤74, D2/NAIA top 74-76, D3/NAIA lower mid-70s to low-80s. Coaches watch WAGR, Junior Golf Scoreboard, AJGA, Golfweek.
