When a coach can contact you (Wrestling)

In D1 wrestling, a coach may first initiate personal contact on June 15 after your sophomore year (end of 10th grade): calls, texts, DMs, emails, off-campus contact and verbal scholarship offers. Same date as golf, but note: visits open later.

By level: D2 communications also June 15 after sophomore (official visits from that date); NAIA no restrictions, any time; D3 year-round.

D1 dead periods: there are windows (around the mid-November signing window, Dec 24-26, NWCA Convention week, and the March D1 Championships week) when there is no in-person contact or visits, though phone/electronic contact is still allowed. Exact dates shift each cycle — re-verify on the official NCAA D1 'Other Sports' calendar.

Signing: the NLI was eliminated (Class of 2025 onward); commitments are formalised via a written financial-aid agreement, not a 'signing day'. Verify each school's process.

Key for you: YOU can reach out to a coach any time (and attend camps) before June 15 — the coach just can't respond with recruiting communications until that date. As a European, that proactive send (profile + film + UWW results) is essential.
